In a great start to the 2022 season the first official practice was combined with an Australian day BBQ.
Sub junior boys Levi Bailey (on Blaze) and Bailey Yeo (on Nugget) got to try out their new ponies on a full-sized field with lots of bigger horses running around with them. The new combinations of boys and ponies went very well. Looks like it will be a big season for these two lads.
It was a great first official hit out, although most players have been doing a lot of preparation for the new season, which starts in early March at Burradoo.
But it looks like some of the young guns will need to hone up on the cooking skills with a few flames giving the snags a real Aussie day flavour!
Practices will be run all through February, some on a practice ground on Wargeila Rd and some at Hall polox grounds. If you are interested in giving polox a try, call for details:
