The competition will conclude tonight (Friday) at Walker Park when a Semi Final will be played at 7pm before the GF at 8pm.

The Yass 9s has been pulling some hefty crowds up the hill to Walker Park on Friday night with spectator numbers often around 200 plus.
Friday night saw just the one match but it was full of front on contact with team mate against team mate. The Yass Eels looked the goods early on and were up 25-4 before the Panthers came storming back to give them a scare with the match finishing 31-16.
Organiser and Eels player Tom Johnson said, “Sharks ended up pulling the pin completely on us this week, which has put a spanner in the works, but there’s not much we can do about it.
“We are just going to go with one more week. We are going to have a semi between the Eels and Panthers. Whoever wins that will play the grand final about an hour later, so they will have an hour in between, and they will play the other Yass side, Butt’s Butchers.

“Butchers got the highest points, so they go straight through. They have got a bit of an advantage, as one of us has got to play twice. Otherwise, we’ve just got to spread it over two weeks, so we’ll just have one big night for the last one on Friday, “Everything will be done and dusted this Friday. We’ll just build on it next year.
“I had a yarn to all the boys and to see what they were happy with and at this stage they have come back and that’s what they’re happy with.
“The Refs have been great and we will need them again on Friday. We will just give them a free dinner or something like that, for a break in between.
“The Panthers came back pretty hard last Friday with the score being 31-16. It was 25-4 at one point.
“We had nothing left in the tank, no Reggies on the bench, they were in the same boat, I suppose, but they had about three more on the bench, so it helped them. No doubt there will be plenty of thrills and spills with Yass and the surrounding areas’ best and aspiring footballers on show.
