The Yass Magpies are extremely excited to announce the signings of exciting young players Jack Hartwig and Rylee Blackhall for the 2022 Canberra Raiders Cup season.
Jack originates from Forbes and has joined the club most recently from the Canterbury- Bankstown Bulldogs system. Prior to his time at the Bulldogs, he played for the Forbes Magpies and has represented the Western Rams and Country side on multiple occasions.
Jack said, “I’m looking forward to having a solid year with the boys and being able to put the jersey on for the club.” His career highlight is playing First Grade back home for Forbes and representing Country.
Rylee comes from Wellington and has joined the club after spending time with the Penrith Panthers and West Tigers. The young half was part of the Wellington Cowboys premiership side and also represented the Western Rams on a number of occasions.
He said that he doesn’t have a favourite NRL side when asked, but did say they he enjoys following his cousin Brett Naden’s career.
Rylee said, “I’m looking forward to chucking the jersey on with the boys.”
His career highlight was winning the 2019 First Grade Final with the Wellington Cowboys.
The club is extremely pleased to have the dynamic duo on board and are looking forward to seeing them in action for the upcoming trials.
