The Yass Valley Triathlon Club has claimed a landmark victory, taking out the title of 2024/2025 NSW Hume League Champions following a stellar performance at the season-ending Club Championships in Forster.
This achievement marks a major milestone in the Club’s young history, reflecting a season built on determination, teamwork, and a powerful sense of community. The final event in Forster proved decisive, with outstanding racing efforts from Drew, Robby, Sue, and Sarah — supported by crucial volunteer contributions from Helen and Greg. Their combined efforts ultimately secured Yass Valley’s position at the top of the league.
Club President Sarah Watson said, “This win is a reflection of so many people doing their part — whether it was racing, volunteering, cheering from the sidelines, or helping behind the scenes. It really has been a whole-club effort.”
The NSW Hume League is a fiercely contested regional series that spans multiple events throughout New South Wales.
Throughout the 2024/2025 season, the Yass Valley Triathlon Club competed at key races in Canberra, Wollongong, Batemans Bay, and beyond. At every event, the Club — affectionately known as the “Yass Galahs” — consistently earned critical points through grit, consistency, and camaraderie.

With this championship win, the Yass Valley Triathlon Club cements its place as a growing force in regional triathlon — and a beacon of inclusive, family-oriented sporting culture in the Yass Valley community.
