We would like to welcome Richard to the Yass Valley Times team. Richard has had cameras for all of his life, for as far back as he can remember. He is a highly experienced photographer and a local to the area. Richard will be out and about for YVT covering many sports through his lens. He said, “My mother was a very keen photographer and I guess I got that from her. I got interested in sports photography a couple of decades ago because it is probably the most difficult form of this trade and requires very expensive equipment to capture correctly. I was further encouraged by the back-covers of newspapers all over Australia and these images spurred me on to achieve what metropolitan papers could do, very addictive stuff. I Just love highlighting what sporting stars can do, more strength to their arm. I’m looking forward to presenting the very best for our readers in 2020.”
