Yass Valley Region delights keep rolling with our “sixty seconds swirls” Briar Hill the next good drop

The Yass Valley region, yet-to-be-discovered delights keep rolling along in our Sixty Second Swirl reviews. This week’s offering is from Briar Hill Estate.

As stated on their website, the team at Briar Hill Estate “are a family-owned and operated vineyard who just likes to enjoy a good drop.”

Well, today’s “swirl” – the Briar Hill Estate 2018 – is indeed a good drop.

This ripping “Rizza” has a pale straw colour with bright flashes from within.

A swirl reveals aromas of citrus blossom, grapefruit and with a few years under its belt, a lovely nuance of creamed honey on buttered toast.

The palate is crisp with lively acidity, supported by zesty lemon and grapefruit juice flavours.

A lovely lingering finish carries the enjoyment forward.

We enjoyed our bottle with homemade Korean chilli chicken with Kimchi fried rice, and it would go well with an Asian chicken or seafood dish or some simply grilled fresh seafood with lemon butter sauce.

I bought my bottle from the Yass Valley Information Centre, but you can also buy online for $19 here.
