A string of stolen sheep murders has occurred recently in Bywong, Bungendore, Shingle Hill and Wamboin.
Police are currently investigating the stolen sheep, whose carcasses were found dumped behind both the bus stop on the corner of Denley Drive and Woolshed Lane, and at a gravel pit near Shingle Hill and the Old Federal Highway.
The sheep were found with no ear tags and the gravel pit at Shingle Hill had a black barrel containing remains.
As of such, locals are urged to contact either Queanbeyan Police or Bungendore Police of any missing or stolen stock, or with any details from the events.
Both incidences occurred in the month of July 2026.
