How are you feeling About Giving Birth? By Karen Williams Registered calmbirth®Educator

Bringing the calmbirth®Childbirth Education Program to Yass Valley and Surrounds

As expectant parents, what’s the first thing that pops into your head when you hear the word ‘Birth’?

Please consider for a moment that first thing that popped into your head just now along with your other beliefs about Birth. Now I’d like to invite you to write them all down. That’s it, name them up and jot them down in point form. Great, now ask yourselves the following questions: What is the main theme of my beliefs about Birth? Where or from whom did I get my beliefs? What feelings do my beliefs stir up in me? Are these feelings helpful or a hindrance to how I see my labour and birth unfolding? Would I like to change how I am feeling about my labour and birth?

Now consider your answers carefully, especially that last one – that’s where I come in.

Our motto is With Knowledge, Comes Confidence and our aim is to prepare expectant parents mentally, emotionally and physically for the birth of their baby.

The calmbirth®Program is only presented by qualified birth professionals, it is great for first and subsequent births and also offers a special program for those who know they’ll be having a caesarean. If you’re in the 24-34 weeks of pregnancy range, I would love you to join me in my nextcalmbirth®course in Yass on 11 & 12 February 2023 or in Canberra on 14 & 15 January 2023.

You will learn simple yet effective calmbirth®breathing techniques, massage for pregnancy, labour and birth, and active birth positions that will help in labour along with the tools and comfort measures to help calm and support you on the day.

You will walk away feeling more confident in your own ability to birth your baby and be well-informed about birth choices and making decisions that are best for you and your baby.

Spaces are limited due to social distancing so book your course in Yass or Canberra soon through my booking portal at www.calmbirth.com.au
