Free mega cricket clinic this Sunday in YASS

There is set to be a Mega Cricket Clinic this Sunday in Yass, which will be run by Cricket NSW.

The free session for all kids aged from 5-12 will take place this Sunday, 19th February at Walker Park between 10 am and 11:30 am.

The clinic in Yass will feature current Sydney Thunder star Alex Ross, among appearances from other past greats of the game.

Angus Rowan, Cricket Manager for the Southern Inland region of NSW, spoke to The Times about what the clinic will offer to local kids.

“It’s really good for the regional areas of NSW, it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity for a lot of the kids,” Rowan said.

“I’ve spoken to a lot of parents, and they are really keen for it.

“We’ve already had many kids register for the weekend so we’re expecting over 50 at the session.

“The day will include a range of activities. So, whether you’re a novice of cricket and you have never played before, or, you’re a local junior who’s played for the last five or six years, it’s a day for all essentially and we just wanted to be as welcoming as we can for anyone, no matter their abilities.

“It will have a broad range of skill development activities, and everyone can be involved.”

The clinic will aim to direct kids into their local clubs to play cricket, or into their local cricket blast competition.

Make sure you don’t miss the opportunity and register for the free cricket clinic using the QR Code above as soon as possible.
