Mt Carmel School in Yass has begun their enrolment drive for 2024.
The school is holding tours and a Parent Information Evening in the Lacey Library at 6pm tonight (Wednesday 24 May.)
Mt Carmel senior students play an integral part in showcasing many aspects of their school life to prospective new families who are considering enrolling their child, leading guided tours on the Open Days and demonstrating a range of curricular and extra-curricular activities at the Information Evening. This allows prospective parents to see what social and academic skills students develop over their time at Mt Carmel.
The Parent Information Evening showcases STEM activities (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math), well-being and pastoral care, the Japanese language program, Sport and Physical Education, Literacy and Numeracy, Creative and Performing Arts, and Religious Education, including the Youth Ministry team and Mini Vinnies.

“We are the local Catholic school with a very caring and loving community and well supported by highly professional staff,” said Mt Carmel Principal Mr Michael Green.
“We’ve got a deep sense of community and commitment to the families in our town. We pride ourselves not only on the academic excellence of our students, but also on a culture of respectful relationships, founded on love for one another and the inherent dignity of each individual.”
“If you have a pre-school child ready for Kindergarten, it’s time to enrol now — If your friends have a child starting in Kindergarten next year, please encourage them to consider Mt Carmel as an option for their children’s education.”
Catholic Education Canberra Goulburn has an online enrolment form, which can be accessed from the school’s website. An interview will be organised once the enrolment application is received.
