Despite being unofficially in the position for some time now, Inspector David Cowell has been confirmed as Yass’ Officer in Charge (OIC).
David was overwhelmingly positive when discussing his “new” role, and hinted it is a position he plans on holding for a long time.
“I feel it’s just a positive step for us and the community, I’m thrilled.”
“I’m really proud to represent the Hume Police District in the Yass Valley as the OIC of the Yass sector,” he said.
The Yass Valley Times would like to officially congratulate David on his role and have great confidence that Yass Police Station is in safe hands with him at the helm.
