Brahmans Prepare To Hit Paddock

The evergreen talent of Chris Rawlinson will be back to the training paddock of the Binalong Rec Oval to shape the 2025 Brahmans in to a premiership force again.

Rawlinson told the Times, “There will be a barbecue and beers after the first training. “I will be running around again and we have got the majority of the blokes coming back. There will be one or two that have said they are retiring, but you never know, they might pull the boots on again.”

“We’ve got some good numbers at the moment.”

“We have the same blokes for 2025 and those young fellas will have another year under their belt and hopefully they can perform like they did last year and get better this year.”

Dane Howard will go on to bigger and better things under the tutelage of the older fellas.

“Hopefully he picked up a lot from last year and the experience he had he can probably open it up a little bit more and perform well on the field this year.”

The competition loses Cootamundra this year but gains Googong and the Snowy River Bears.

“I’ve played against the President from Googong (Queanbeyan Roos), so he might take a few from Queanbeyan Roos. I’m not sure how they will go, but they have a team on the paddock, so they should be okay.

“As for the Snowy River Bears, I’ve seen that a few of them have left the Canberra Raiders Cup and that’s why they are back at George Tooke.

“They won their grand final last year.”

“I have looked at it and they have lost a fair few good players to First Grade clubs in the Canberra Raiders Cup, so they might be struggling a bit.”

Rawlinson is keeping in shape, saying, “I’ve been back playing a bit of touch footy and the body was a bit sore after playing 13 games at the knockout carnival.”

“We lost in the final in the men’s and made the semis in the mixed.”

He said, “If anyone wants to play for the Brahman’s, they can get in touch with myself or Ben Spencer or feel free to come along to the training sessions.
