The Burradoo carnival once again was in support of “Talktomebro”, raising awareness of rural men’s mental health. Even a wild electrical storm on Saturday afternoon couldn’t dampen the spirits, largely due to the ferret races on Saturday night! Crazy fun.
The Easter Eurocoast carnival was a weekend of chocolate, seafood and Yass players in the winner’s circle.
Yass fielded 3 senior teams, convincingly winning the B Grade Championship and taking out runners up in the A Grade after a 3-way countback. Sign of a very even competition.
We welcomed Caleigh Mouat on her nan Benny’s ‘Snoop’. Caleigh with sister Ruby flew in from NZ to spend school holidays with Australian based family and attend the Albury Junior coaching and competitions.
We have also enjoyed having Prue Bucknell back for the last few weeks as she took a break from FIFO work in Queensland. Come back soon Prue!

The 2026 Yass carnival will once again be back at ‘Marchmont Racecourse Reserve’ Gums Lane Yass on Anzac weekend, 25th and 26th April 2026 vying for the ‘Cavan Cup’.
Get your teams ready for the Saturday afternoon “Pateman Power Solutions” Tug of War. Teams of six (3 men 3 women), juniors (under 16) and sub juniors (under 12), with prizes to be won in all grades.
Spectators free, lots of kids entertainment and refreshments available all weekend.
