The Yass U12s representative team head to Sydney this weekend to compete in the NSW Netball Junior State Titles.
Coached by Johnno Langfield and Bec Duncan, Yass will play against 15 teams from all over the state.
The players are excited to represent Yass Valley on the big stage. Leading up to the State Titles Yass has had a successful carnival season to prepare.
This is the first Junior State Titles to be held since 2019 after they were cancelled in 2020 and 2021 due to COVID-19.
Coach Johnno Langfield said State is a competitive three days of netball.
“If the team plays as well as they have at other carnivals during the season, they will be very competitive,” he said.
“We are fortunate to have such a skilled team for this age and the players have been working hard which shows in their improved abilities on the court.”
“The team are very excited to get to participate in this event and I hope they not only play great netball but have a great time with their teammates.”
