Sport this weekend in the Yass Valley

After minimal sport in the Yass Valley last week due to the floods, the hope is that the covid-19 outbreak will not impact this week’s fixtures.

The Yass Magpies First Grade and Reserve sides have the bye this week, and the Ladies KFS side will take on the Boomanulla Raiders at 11:45 am at Gunning Showground. The Under 19’s will play the Queanbeyan Blues at 10:30 am at NSWRL HQ Bruce.

The Yass Rams will head to Braidwood to play the Redbacks at 2:30 pm, and the Yass Ewes will face the Jindabyne Miss Piggies at 12:15 pm at Victoria Park.

In AFL, the Yass Roos have a home game starting at 2:00 pm against the top of the table ANU. The Murrumbateman Eagles will play the Ainslie Tricolours at 12:00 pm at Alan Ray Oval.

At the Redbacks, the State League Two Mens and Reserves sides will play the UC Stars at UC Oval on Saturday. The Reserves will start at 1:00 pm, and the Seniors will follow at 3:00 pm. The State League Women’s Division Four and Six sides will head to UC Oval on Sunday. The Division Six side will play Belnorth FC at 10:00 am, and the Division Four will play the UC Stars at 2:00 pm.

If you are planning on attending any of our local sport this week, be aware that the hosting clubs will closely monitor behaviour to ensure it is in line with current Covid guidelines.
