Jack Walker takes baton from Glen Wynn as Business Chamber President for 2021
Yass Valley Business Chamber has proved the strength of its organisation is in the depth of talent in its executive committee. With the second leadership change for 2020, effective this week, the Chamber has not missed a beat carrying out the strategic direction it set for its organisation.
Outgoing President Mr Glen Wynn –
“I would like to thank the Yass Valley Business Chamber and the Yass Valley Community for their tremendous effort and support and for achieving so much through the tough times 2020 has presented us. I feel like we have come together as a community and it is one of the reasons why I love this town so much.
Due to the challenges the year has brought us I have decided to step down from the Business Chamber to focus on my family commitments and just being the best Dad I can. I wish the Chamber success moving forward and I also wish the Yass Valley a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Yea,r” Glen Wynn, Former-President YVBC.
Incoming President Mr Jack Walker –
“On behalf of the Yass Valley Business Chamber committee, members and myself personally; I’d like to thank Glen for his time, dedication and the energy he brought to YVBC as President. Glen has done a terrific job as President setting a fantastic direction for the committee in-line with the Chamber’s 2020-2021 Strategy. Glen is a great leader, personal friend and someone we hope to one day see back on the committee. For now, though, I’d like to wish Glen and his family all the best into the future.
As the new President, I’m committed to building upon the foundations of previous committees and maintaining the direction established by Glen and Jim Hutton OBE, Vice-President YVBC. I look forward to continuing to work with Jim and the committee delivery outcomes in-line with the Chamber’s 2020-2021 Strategy for the benefit of Yass Valley Business Chamber members and the wider business community of Yass Valley,” Jack Walker, President YVBC.
Continuing Vice President Mr Jim Hutton OBE
“Since July when the new YVBC Committee stood up, Glen Wynn has been an energetic and enthusiastic driver for the Chamber to champion the business community. He is imaginative and affable and has led the team through the COVID period against our new Strategy with style and flair. It is a shame he is standing down but his reasons are sound and we are fortunate to have such a capable and driven man as Jack Walker with a good understanding and expansive network to step into the role of President. I very much look forward to his leadership and thank Glen for his work to date and seeing through the Christmas late night shopping events that look to be the best yet,” Vice President Mr Jim Hutton OBE.
