The Yass Magpies very own Lane Davis has been selected in the Under 16’s NSW Country team. (Pictured on left.)
The teams were selected after the Regional Representative Finals at the end of March, with the chosen players scheduled to go head-to-head with the NSW City team on the weekend of the 15th-16th of May.
Lane was thrilled to be selected and felt particularly grateful for his parents’ support over the years.
“I feel very excited, and I’m looking forward to the opportunity. It’s what I have aimed and dreamt for since I was young to be working my way up; all the hard work is starting to pay off. I would like to thank Mum and dad for all the driving and support they have done over the years. Without them, I would not be able to achieve my dream,” he said.
The young prop joins three teammates from the Monaro Colts representative side, which were eliminated by the eventual Andrew John’s Cup winners, the Central Coast Roosters in the first week of finals.
We would like to wish Lane good luck against the City team and hope it leads him to where he wants to be.
