Gums Lane crash victim air-lifted to Canberra

A 20-year old man has been airlifted to Canberra Hospital after a car crash in Yass on Friday.

“A single-vehicle crash took place in Gums Lane shortly before 12:30 pm. The man was trapped in the vehicle for over an hour,” a NSW police officer said.

He was airlifted to Canberra Hospital in a stable condition.

NSW Fire and Rescue, Ambulance and Yass Police were present at the site of the crash.

Meanwhile, Yass Police Inspector David Cowell has urged people to drive safely on country roads.

Investigations are underway to ascertain the cause of the crash.
