Don’t miss Band Bonanza in Binalong this Sunday – inaugural concert for Yass Valley Concert Band

Be part of the Band Bonanza when the Yass Valley Concert Band play their inaugural concert in Binalong this Sunday, proudly presented by Binalong Arts Group Inc.

Together with the Young Town Band, the new Yass Valley musical venture will present a great program of band music in the Binalong Hall (Mechanics Institute).

The Yass Valley Concert Band is a community organisation that was originally formed in 2021. It currently has a small but keen playing membership of widely varying ages.

Conductor/Musical Director Bryan Hooley is a familiar face to Yass and Canberra audiences. He will lead the band through a mixture of well-known music from the stage and screen, as well as several popular tunes.

Alongside the Yass Valley Band will be the Young Town Band, a similar community organisation. Their conductor is Rodney Clancy, another well-established musician who conducts choirs and bands in both Canberra and Young.

The Band Bonanza is part of a program of Covid-recovery workshops and events presented and subsidised by Binalong Arts Group Inc to assist community healing after the Covid lockdowns.

All welcome: Sunday October 23, 2pm, Binalong Hall. Admission $10, BAG members free, and Children free.
