Create Connections and Make a Difference by Joining View

Yass Day View Club is on the lookout for new members who want to give back to their community and make new connections with women in the area.

View, which stands for Voice, Interests and Education of Women is a network of about 300 clubs and 14,000 women throughout Australia.

It provides a place for women to connect in the community, enjoy social activities and develop friendships, while supporting the work of charity, The Smith Family. The Smith Family is a children’s charity that helps young Australians experiencing disadvantage by using education as the key to create a better future for themselves.

Many people have also moved away from the city – coming to a new place can be isolating, especially with the Covid restrictions that we have had. View provides the perfect place to meet like-minded women, while raising funds for the Learning for Life program. This program has supported children and young people in need for over 60 years. Through this program, we ensure that they have what they need for their education through our fundraising.

The Yass Day View Club hosts several small social events during the year to raise funds, usually at the homes of members.

Yass Day View sponsors four students in the Learning for Life program, ensuring that they have what they need for their education.

We are always looking for women of all backgrounds and ages to join us and look forward to welcoming new faces to our meetings. Lunch meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month at the Golf Club. The format of our meetings is our business meeting, followed by a two-course lunch ($30) and a guest speaker.

Our next meeting will be on March 9 beginning at 11.30am.
