The Bowning Community Hall will be showing “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” at a fundraising film night on the 15th of May.
The Bowning Hall Association is attempting to revitalise the Bowning Community Hall in the hope of it being used for whatever the community of Bowning wants to use it for.
The new team have worked tirelessly trying to clean and restore the facilities at the hall. They hope that those in attendance will come to realise the resource at their disposal.
“We are desperate to raise funds,” said Bowning Hall Association Committee Member Frances Atkins.
Visitors are being encouraged to dress as their favourite character from the Rocky Horror films, with drinks, popcorn and hotdogs all available on the night.
“Everyone knows The Rocky Horror Picture Show, you dress up, you can sing with it, you can dance, you can muck around with it,” said Frances.
Frances also hinted that there would be a few extra special surprises on the night.
Tickets are $15 each and are currently being sold at https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/bowning-community-hall-film-night-tickets-149396989417
or they can be purchased at the door, availability allowing.
Attendees will be required to bring their own chair or bean bag.
Before the movie night is a meet and greet on the 2nd of May, which will allow locals the opportunity to meet the new committee and observe the state of the hall.
I would highly recommend going to give the hall a look and attending on the 15th of May, as it was a fascinating place, quite clearly filled with a rich history.
