The Murrumbateman Little Athletics Club will now be known as the Murrumbateman Stormers, opening their registration for the 2021/2022 summer athletics season last Monday under their name.
The athletics club is only entering its third season, but had 125 kids registered last season, and averaged approximately 70 kids at each session.
This year they’ve launched with a new brand, logo, merchandise and a website, as they look to grow on the tireless work of volunteers in their first two seasons.
Stormers President, Kristin Butler, was encouraging of anyone in the community whose kids might be interested, to come down and give it a try.
“If parents want to get in contact with us or if they’re unsure whether or not it’s something they’d like their kids to do, at this point in time we’re planning on having a Family Fun Day on the 25th of September. Just down at the Rec Grounds and that’s a good opportunity for people to come down and say hello, and ask any questions, and we’ll have some activities set up for the kids to do.”
“We encourage athletes of all abilities, ages and knowledge of Little Athletics to come down and join. We’ve got great coaches on board to help coach the kids and the age range is between the four year olds to seventeen year olds,” said Kristin.
