Plans lodged with Council for new Yass High School multi-purpose Hall

Students at Yass High School are one step closer to enjoying a brand new multipurpose hall, with a development application for the project lodged with Yass Valley Council today.

The new multi-purpose hall will provide a full-size basketball court, storage and amenities.

Member for Goulburn Wendy Tuckerman is excited to see the progress on the project.

“It’s great news that the DA has been lodged. The project will provide a new multi-purpose hall for Yass High School, which will benefit the school and the local community for years to come,” Mrs Tuckerman said.

Minister for Education Sarah Mitchell said she was proud the NSW Government is delivering its historic school building commitment, with communities receiving new and upgraded schools across the State.

“The Liberals & Nationals Government are supporting schools by providing them with modern school facilities, building infrastructure for the community and creating a safer and stronger NSW.”

Construction is scheduled to start later this year on the Yass High School hall project.

The NSW Government is investing $7 billion over the next four years, continuing its program to deliver more than 200 new and upgraded schools to support communities across NSW.

This is the largest investment in public education infrastructure in the history of NSW.
